The RIBA is running a competition for a £1.3 million road bridge in Sudbury, Suffolk. Six teams will be invited to design a bridge to carry the A131 over the River Stour and will each receive a £4000 honourarium. The existing 1911 structure is made of reinforced concrete with three main spans but is too weak to carry today's levels of traffic. The RIBA competitions office must receive the applications by 21 March.
