The RIBA has lined up the Great Court at the British Museum as the venue for its Stirling Prize ceremony - sponsored by the AJ.The event will take place at the Foster and Partnersdesigned space on 20 October and the ceremony will be televised by Channel 4 the following day.The institute said it was 'delighted' to announce the sponsorship deal for what will be called 'The RIBA Stirling Prize in association with The Architects'Journal'.RIBA chief executive Richard Hastilow said: 'The Stirling Prize is one of the RIBA's prime ways of promoting excellence in architecture and its benefits to society. I am delighted at the support that The Architects'Journal will provide. This partnership will help to ensure that the prize is given the platform it deserves.'
