The AJ and the Concrete Centre present a video study of Zaha Hadid’s Stirling Prize-shortlisted Aquatic Centre

Built for the 2012 London Olympics, the Aquatic Centre is the sixth project designed by Zaha Hadid Architects to be shortlisted for the prize.

In this video the AJ interviews the architects and engineers responsible for creating the building.

The building is joined on the 2014 shortlist by Renzo Piano’s Shard, Mecanoo’s Library of Birmingham, Haworth Tompkins’ Everyman Theatre in Liverpool, the Manchester School of Art by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and O’Donnell + Tuomey Architects’ student centre at the LSE.

The winner will be announced the evening of Thursday 16 October at RIBA HQ, Portland Place in London.
