The practice claims the 88.85 per cent score notched up following a recent BREEAM Education 2008 design stage assessment is the highest ‘score ever achieved for an education building’.
Backed by Dartford Borough Council, ProLogis and North West Kent College, the 2,700m2 SusCon academy unsurprisingly netted a BREEAM ‘outstanding’ rating.
The building has been designed ‘as a learning tool [which] offers accredited courses for both building trades and professions’.
Stephen George & Partners has been shortlisted for the AJ100 Most Sustainable Practice of the Year 2011.
