Stanton Williams

Stanton Williams has beaten 17 Swiss practices to win a major masterplanning competition for Geneva's main railway station. The scheme aims to improve links between the two sides of the station with revamped public spaces. It also includes a TGV terminal and new shopping facilities. A £15 million covered piazza in front of the station (pictured) will be designed by Stanton Williams and will be covered with a three-storey, 150m long illuminated glass canopy which will act as 'an entrance hall' to the city, said the architect.
