Architects are to be drafted in to work up a riverside site near London Bridge.
The 5.3ha between London Bridge and Tower Bridge were bought for £70 million in January. Developer Stanhope is to build on the land, which has been vacant for more than 10 years.
The site has planning permission for 130,000m2 of mixed-use building. The new owners - property investor cit, and Depfa, a German financier - are keen to press ahead with a scheme, said a Stanhope spokesman. 'We were appointed last week and hope to move forward pretty quickly. We expect to appoint architects in a few weeks.'
