France-based animation company 9 Points Media is set to offer architectural practices a special effects service normally seen in television commercials. Using Newtek's Lightwave software, the company says it is able to provide far greater realism than most programs used by architects. 'We can make a marble floor look really slippery, we can even make it dirty, ' says the company's 3D director Jean-Marc Khayat. The company hopes to make an impact on the market for fly-through animations.
