S&P Architects of Dublin has won a competition to design the £37 million National Irish Aquatic Centre.

The centre, on the edge of Dublin, will include an Olympic-standard 50m pool, which can be subdivided into smaller pools by submersible bulkheads.

Floating floors can also be used to alter the depth of the water. The centre is due to be finished in 2003.
