Sounds of the Seventies PYRAMID SELLING

Jeremy Dixon won a competition to design offices for Northamptonshire council, with a glass pyramid and a spiral mound of cars. Conceits included a shaft of light which would shine on the treasurer's desk on 1 April, as he signed the year's accounts. The scheme was only cancelled because of the ramifications of the oil crisis.
