Sound surround

Are you working in a listed building but want to install a top-of-the-range sound system? Or do you want to create a video surround system in a contemporary environment without ugly cables everywhere? Both these can be achieved, says audio and video company Kaurus, with the newly launched PDSP-1 (Pioneer Digital Sound Projector). A single sound projector produces up to seven beams of sound, steering and reflecting them around the room to produce a surround system. Specifically tuned to the room, it can be used in small spaces or those seating up to 200. Kaurus, which is specifically targeting the architectural community, is also considering putting the PDSP1 above a dance floor and directing the sound so that it does not leak beyond the designated space.
