Soane strangers

Graves, MacCormac, Gough and Moneo - almost every contemporary architect worth their salt claims an influence from Sir John Soane. Gough is the lucky one. He is designing the show on Soane at the ra, but, enterprising as ever, the Soane Museum itself is organising a parallel show on Soane's influence on particular present-day architects. With Graves, MacCormac and Moneo being represented, it promises to give different interpretations of the great master. For there is shockingly little co-ordination between all the professed Soane fans. As Moneo said when told Gough was designing the ra show, ' Que?'
