Sliding sashes

Product round-up

The sash window has endured the test of time. The old cast-iron weights have been replaced with spiral balances and there is now double glazing. If the sections are chunkier than the Georgian and Victorian originals, that is because the double glazing is heavier than the thin single panes of yore.

Wright Joinery produces mock sliding sashes, but it also does the genuine thing - using double glazing, spiral balances and timber in either finger-jointed laminated redwood from sustainable sources or, should the client want it, hardwood.
