While we're on hotels . . .architectural references are flowing thick and fast in the design of the Westbourne Hotel in Notting Hill, a boutique hotel with only 20 bedrooms.
Said to be inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, Mies, and what is described as 'the classic late 60s inside/outside movement', the style is then bafflingly described as 'mid-century modern with a Japanese influence'. Certainly sounds eclectic.
