Skidmore Owings and Merrill win planning permission

Skidmore Owings and Merrill has won planning permission from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets for a 140,000m 2development at Charrington's Wharf in London's Docklands.The mixed-use scheme will include offices, a 400-room hotel and 735 residential units, as well as community and restaurant facilities. The site, opposite the Dome, is one of the last undeveloped riverside sites in Docklands. The complex of buildings is scheduled for completion by 2006.
