Simpson Strong-Tie

In the first 18-24 months after completion, cracking can appear in extension walls as they dry out, needing expensive repair.

Simpson Strong-Tie's new Crack Control Wall Starter directs movement to where the new wall meets the old, without creating a weak area in the structure. The starter does not require the vertical joint to be mortared. Compressible edge strips resist moisture penetration.
