Shortlisted six for Welsh Assembly go on public view

news

The Welsh Office has unveiled six designs for the Welsh Assembly hq, and will today grill the shortlisted architects on their designs.

It launched a public show on Monday of schemes by Benson + Forsyth, MacCormac Jamieson Prichard, Niels Torp with Stride Treglown Davies, Eric Parry Architects, Richard Rogers Partnership and Itsuko Hasegawa Atelier & Kajima Design Europe (see pages 21-23). But designs will be matched to designers only at today's presentation, to ensure the schemes are assessed on merit.

The decision will be made tomorrow (16 October) by the panel led by former Labour pm Lord Callaghan.
