Sheppard Robson has won planning permission for a 'bold' mixed-use development in Reading's historic Abbey Square. Spring 2003 has been confirmed as the start date of the West Central development in Leeds. Carey Jones Architects has designed the mixed-use scheme, which includes 11,152m 2of office space on 10 floors - making it the largest office development in the city. It also includes 4,647m 2of retail and leisure space,324 apartments and a 200-bed hotel. Completion of the project is scheduled for autumn 2004.
