Former education offices in Sheffield are to be converted into restaurants, entertainment venues, luxury apartments and a hotel by Axis Architecture. A partnership between developers Gleeson Homes and Westernport Developments has won a Sheffield City Council contract to redevelop the site in a bid to return life to the city centre. The redevelopment of the Grade II-listed office building on Leopold Street will link the city's Devonshire Quarter with the Barkers Pool and the City Hall area in the city.
