Scottish architecture demands attention

It is with dismay that I read your article on the bco award winners for 1999 (aj 17.6.99). What happened to Scotland?

It is the first year that the bco regional awards have been introduced and we are immensely proud to have been the recipient of the bco Scottish award for our Fairfield House Office Development in Dalkeith for Midlothian Council. Unfortunately no mention of this regional award features in the article. Scotland, as you are aware, is producing good innovative architecture and deserves equal attention to that given to the rest of the country.
