New Edinburgh, the joint venture company responsible for the Edinburgh Park business park masterplanned a decade ago by Richard Meier, tomorrow launches a competition to design a new £2 million office development on the site. The competition is open to architectural practices in Scotland and will be for a four- or fivestorey high, 375m 2building incorporating a top floor marketing suite. Entries must be submitted by 19 January 2001 and the final results will be announced in early February. The winner gets the commission and £5,000, while second place gets £2,000 and third £1,000. Judges include Piers Gough, Gareth Hoskins, broadcaster Sheena McDonald and Professor Robin Webster of Aberdeen University.
