[FIRST LOOK + PLANS] Leeds-based Farrell & Clark has won the go-ahead for this £6 million facility for Bradford University’s School of Health Studies

The 4,000m² ‘gateway’ project is part of the larger £84 million overhaul of the campus and has been described as ‘50 per cent refurbishment and 50 per cent new build’.

The revamped buildings will house shared academic offices while the new structure will become home to specialist teaching facilities.

Paul Jagger, partner at the Farrell & Clark said: ”The exiting curved form and sloping glazed gable will make a dramatic contribution to the University main entrance and creates a building which will provide state of the art teaching facilities to allow the School of Health deliver it’s vision.’

Having secured planning permission work is expected to start on site later this month and complete in 2011.
