Two architects have won an award for writing a radio play - which has nothing to do with architecture. John Park and Frank Johnson, who studied together at Oxford Brookes 20 years ago, are winners in the London Radio Playwrights' Festival. Their play, called Charley from Outside, is about a ten-year-old autistic boy who is killed by his mother. The one-hour play will be produced by Independent Radio Drama Productions and broadcast on London station lbc. Park, although still registered, has not practised architecture for several years, but Johnson has his own practice in Barbados. There will be an awards ceremony on Sunday at the prize-winning Tricycle Cinema.
