  • Comment

Sauerbruch Hutton Architects has won the competition to design a new Museum of Contemporary Art and Moving Image Centre in Sydney, Australia. It beat Richard Francis Jones of Sydney, Nonda Katsalidis of Melbourne, Raphael Moneo of Madrid and Francesco Venezia of Naples. The £28 million building will be sited on West Circular Quay, opposite the Opera House. The practice has submitted two schemes: one retains an existing building, the other proposes a new complex of cinemas, gallery spaces, bars and restaurants (pictured).
