The Health and Safety Executive has published revised guidance on the safe use of cement in the construction industry. Aimed at anyone working with or supervising the use of cement in construction, it explains the need to avoid skin contact, which can lead to the development of allergic dermatitis, a permanent condition. About 450 construction workers a year develop it. Cement - Construction Information Sheet No 26 (revision 2) is available free from HSE Books, telephone 01787 881165.
