RSA to host Millennium Commission projects debate

The Royal Society of Arts is to stage a series of free lectures and discussions next month on the subject of Millennium Commission-funded projects.

The rsa Bossom Lectures, which will all take place at 18.00 at the rsa headquarters in John Adam Street, kick off on 1 March with 'The Earth Centre', by its chief executive Jonathan Smales, and 'Changing Places', by Malcolm Barton, contract manager for the Groundwork Changing Places Programme. That will be followed on 8 March by a panel discussion on the impact of Commission projects featuring Hugh Pearman, Chris Williamson, Stephen Hodder and Alicia Pivaro. On 22 March, the architect of the Millennium Dome, Mike Davies of the Richard Rogers Partnership, will give his account of the iconic structure. Free tickets are available from 0171 930 9286.
