Welsh finance minister Edwina Hart may reappoint Lord Rogers on the Welsh Assembly Building.

RIBA president Paul Hyett travelled to Cardiff to meet up with Hart last week in an attempt to act as a conciliator over the saga following her decision to sack the architect (AJ 19.7.01) and go to the market to find a developer. Hart did not rule out the prospect of Rogers' return. A spokesperson for RRP said that lines of communication between the practice and the Assembly 'remained open'.
