Roof replica

  • Comment

Some 260m 2 of Anderson Icopal Thermaweld roofing membrane has restored the original appearance of the roof of the dilapidated Norwegian Church at Port Tawe, Swansea, which has been converted and extended to form a craft workshop. Working from historical photographs, Icopal devised the specification of a heat-activated vapour-control layer and SBS sand underlay, constructed to the same 45° pitch as previously used on the Grade II-listed church. Thermaweld Blue/Grey mineral was cut into diamond shapes and overlapped to replicate the original felt finish.
