Prime minister David Cameron met with architects Richard Rogers, Thomas Heatherwick and Bjarke Ingels this week to discuss urban design and safer cycling
The Number 10 Downing Street visit was part of a Future Cities event where David Cameron and Nick Clegg spoke about cities in the twenty first century.
Speakers at the conference included: David Saxby of 00:/ and Italian architect Carlo Ratti.
Bjarke Ingels spoke about his ‘8 House’ project in Copenhagen which allows cyclists to peddle from street level to the top floor.
Some of the issues discussed could be raised during a House of Commons debate tomorrow (23 February) about safer cycling in cities.
