Robert Adam Architects has completed a garden 'temple' for Lord Sainsbury of Preston Candover which incorporates new technology with classical designs to reflect the architecture of the Georgian house in Hampshire. The domed roof appears to float above the columns. Adam drafted in engineer Anthony Hunt Associates to devise an aluminium framework supported on stainless-steel pins which rise out of the columns and are held by steel cables. The copper-covered dome is polished to contrast with the aluminium
