Wilcon Homes is on course to complete the construction of four new houses, two weeks after they were burnt to the ground by arsonists.

Four families had bought the properties in south-east London's Thamesmead and were due to move in on 21 July. The company resolved to rebuild the houses from scratch, taking only two weeks to do what normally takes several months. Completion will take place this week, and the buyers will move in as planned.
