news

Richard Murphy Architects has won the housing and masterplanning competition for Tron Square behind the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. The practice, working for the Burrell Company and Edinburgh Development & Investments, together with Castle Rock Housing Association and the City of Edinburgh Council, beat 11 others from Glasgow and Edinburgh. Work is expected to start immediately on the Old Fishmarket Close section of the scheme, with tall thin buildings in the Old Town tradition - 'eyrie-like' developments with 'roofed rooms'.
