RIBA's dirty linen should not be washed in public

  • Comment

I understand from the press that the presidential debate has become rather dirty.

In the recent branding report for the institute there is a section entitled 'Diagnosis - the way we behave'. The report identified the institute's problems:

'We have a genius for washing our dirty linen in public' 'Stopping the internal wrangling is a priority' '. . . quite incredibly poor press coverage' Have we learnt nothing?

I am relieved I decided not to attend the recent public meeting about the presidency. If this is to be the standard of debate I want no part of it. I will only participate by making my statement and answering questions from the floor. I am attending a number of meetings around Britain in order to do so.
