The riba has taken out an advertisement in the ec Journal to pick an architect for its new home for the drawings collection in the Victoria and Albert Museum. The institute seeks an architect with experience in managing work involving museum installation, contract administration and health and safety issues for the £2 million project, which involves the construction and fitting out of 1200m2 of space. This will include suitable storage space for drawings and manuscripts, office/conversion workshops and construction of a new mezzanine gallery, all in the Grade one listed building. Requirements include design, space planning and storage skills.
