RIBA launches Hereford Buttermarket competition

  • Comment

The RIBA this week launched a new design competition to regenerate the historic Hereford Buttermarket

Herefordshire Council is pushing redevelopment of the grade II-listed structure from the 1860s - once used solely for the trading of butter, milk and cheese.

The brief is for an interior fit-out that will ‘enhance’ the facility and help it ‘thrive and survive in a highly competitive sector.’

A more detailed competition brief and dedicated website will be launched on 24 March.
