The RIBA has launched a student competition to build a model of their headquarters at 66 Portland Place
The contest is open to all students of architecture on RIBA validated courses in the UK.
The deadline for entries is 27 May 2011 at 5pm.
The model will be positioned in a prominent position within the entrance foyer of Portland Place, but the exact location and size of the model can be determined as part of the submission. It will need to be mounted on castors for temporary relocation. Depending on the proposed location a 13amp power supply may be available. It will need to be durable enough to last for at least 10 years. The contest is open to individuals or team. Although there is no limit on team numbers, the majority must be architectural students.
