RIBA Awards debate: What is being built today, and is it any good?

  • Comment

Are the RIBA award winners really the best buildings in the UK and what do they say about the state of architecture today?

Join the free British Architecture Now debate on Tuesday 25 June to hear our panel debate on what is being built in the country today.

Edwin Heathcote, architecture and design critic for the Financial Times, will take part in the AJ-hosted panel discussion in association with Sapa Building System. He will be joined on stage by Sarah Featherstone, director at Featherstone Young, and Paul Finch, editorial director of the AJ.

Featherstone is chair of the jury for this year’s RIBA Yorkshire Awards. Featherstone Young’s Ty Hedfan house in Brecon won a RIBA National Award in 2011 and was shortlisted for the Manser Medal in the same year, while the practice’s Dellow Day Centre in Whitechapel was shortlisted for the 2012 Stephen Lawrence Prize.

The evening event and drinks reception is free to attend and takes place on Tuesday 25 June from 6.30pm at RIBA, London. Book your place now.
