Enric Miralles is pressing on with the Scottish Parliament building, Richard Rogers Partnership with the Welsh Assembly. Nicholas Hare is also at work on the Cardiff site. Against expectations, Daniel Libeskind was given the nod for the v&a (above right). West 8 is to redevelop London's Jubilee Gardens, and Gareth Hoskins is to design the Mackintosh Interpretation Centre . bdp Glasgow won a £15 million concert hall design for Perth 2000, while David Chipperfield won a cemetery extension competition near Venice. Busy bees included Nigel Coates, designing pods for powerhouse::uk, the Sheffield pop museum, the Dome figure and the Geffrye Museum extension; Ian Ritchie, splitting time between Crystal Palace, White City shopping centre and a 120m mast for Dublin; and Nicholas Grimshaw and Partners with designs for Birmingham's Millennium Point, the Eden Project and Bath Spa.
