[First look] Gensler is poised to submit plans for this 30-storey mixed-use skyscraper in Shoreditch, east London

The 28,000 m² development is the AJ120 firm’s first UK project for New York-based hotel giant Highgate Holdings.

Planned to complete in 2018, the £300 million scheme will replace a Chariots sauna and Majestic Wine Warehouse on Shoreditch High Street and Fairchild Street.

It will feature a 200-bedroom hotel, 9,000m² of offices, leisure facilities and a sky lounge. Highgate Holdings is planning to open around 20 hotels in the capital.

A planning application is expected to be lodged with local authority Hackney Council in the coming month.
