The Architects Benevolent Society has produced a redundancy information pack, providing advice for architects already out of work or facing the the prospect of losing their jobs

The Architects Benevolent Society (ABS) is a charity which supports people working or have worked in architecture and their dependents. In response to the AJ’s State of the Profession survey, and media reports that architects have been one of the professions hit hardest by the recession, the ABS has produced a redundancy pack.

The document (download from the link on the right or call 020 7580 2823 to receive a hard copy), contains information on about the process and protocols surrounding redundancy, advice about what to do if you lose your job, how to cope with the stress and information on what financial aid is avialable. The guide also gives tips on how to cope on a budget and finding a new job.

The contacts section at the end of the pack is especially useful and links to some of these organisations are listed on the right.
