Recycling facility not a blot on landscape

  • Comment

A Sulo Iceberg underground recycling system has been introduced as part of an urban regeneration project by Dundee City Council. The efficient and economic system, which uses 1,100 litre wheelie bins, raised from their underground pit by an electrohydraulic lift, has been installed in a public car park. All that is visible of the seven units for glass, aluminium, paper and textiles at street level, is a series of unobtrusive wedge-shaped powder-coated steel receiver units, mounted on walk-on platforms.
