Putting the royal record straight

  • Comment

Professor Geoffrey Broadbent was not the runner-up to Professor Adrian Gale in the selection for the new post of Head of School at the Prince of Wales's Institute of Architecture (Astragal, aj 29.1.98). He did not apply for the job. He is a highly valued adviser, has been an external examiner to the very successful foundation course, and continues to support the Institute in many ways. To imply that he was not successful in the selection process is both erroneous and impugns one to whom the institute has good and lasting cause to be grateful - which we are.
