The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) has issued a call for entries for its annual architecture award, now known as the RIAS Andrew Doolan Award for Architecture, Best Building in Scotland.
Projects of all sizes and types from across the country will be considered.
The architects of the winning building will receive £25,000, making this the biggest architecture prize in the UK, and one of the most significant architecture awards in the world.
In 2004, the prize went to Elder & Cannon Architects for St Aloysius College's Clavius Building in Glasgow.
A spokesman for RIAS said the success of the award, and the interest it had generated, reflected the success of the architectural scene in Scotland.
'The RIAS Andrew Doolan Award for Architecture has established itself as one of the top architecture prizes in the world, ' the spokesman added.
