To begin its £1 million investment in a construction industry-wide CPD programme, Autodesk has published three guides on the planning and implementation of IT-based programmes.

The first two, both independently certified as conforming to industry CPD guidelines, offer a complementary overview for the employer and individual respectively, while the third gives a summary of Autodesk's current, planned and prospective activities, and invites interactive contribution and feedback from all sectors.



A new brochure featuring HEWI's range of handrails, balustrades and wall-protection panels is now available. HEWI handrails and balustrades come in 12 shades of topquality nylon, as well as real wood finishes of beech, oak and ash, with a luxurious maple finish available to special order.

Panels can be supplied in beech or white melamine, adding up to a huge number of design combinations. Especially suitable for public buildings, the range incorporates concealed fixings and is designed for hygiene and safety.


BLUNN SLATE Glendyne slate produced in Quebec is enjoying a fast-growing reputation in this country for quality. This blue/grey slate is manufactured to the highest standards and is regularly tested to BS:680 part 2: 1971.

Glendyne slate is produced in two thicknesses, the Glendyne fours (4-5mm thick) and Glendyne fives (5-6mm thick).
