FORBES & LOMAX AJ ENQUIRY No: 203 Lighten the load with Lignacite's facing masonry and its standard building blocks.

Lignacite and Lignacrete are also available in hollow or cellular formats. These units are 22 to 35 per cent lighter than standard solid blocks, which assists compliance with the guidelines in the Manual Handling Operations Regulations. Services can be routed through the core of hollow blocks, therefore avoiding surface mounting. Lighter blocks also reduce the dead weight of the building.

LIGNACITE AJ ENQUIRY No: 201 Concord Lighting, Britain's best known, design-led lighting manufacturer, has supplied a number of fittings to all of the Jubilee Line extension stations. These include interior and exterior luminaires for the spectacular Canary Wharf station, distinguished by its huge interior spaces and glazed torus-shaped entrance building, landscaped into a gentle grass slope.

Inside the lower cavernous spaces, Concord Bega 3x18W downlighters hang in pairs on long drop-rods from the double-height soffit. They supplement the background uplighting and are also used for emergency lighting. Tel 0127 351 5811.
