PRODUCTS: HANSENGROUP PRESTIGE CONTRACT 40 AJ ENQUIRY NO: 202

  • Comment

HansenGlass has helped to wrap up the redevelopment of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in Bloomsbury, London, with a high-performance glazed facade.

The building, by architect Avery Associates, includes a four-storey arched atrium which unites the extension with the original building. To maximise light, HansenGlass provided large panels of glass, each weighing up to 500kg. To meet the high acoustic and safety demands of the atrium, more than 200m 2ofHansenGlass Thermocool insulated units were used, each comprising 19mm and 15mm toughened heat-soaked glass.
