Fire-resistant-glazing specialist FendorHansen is helping to protect new offices at 180 West George Street in Glasgow.

Working with architect Hugh Martin Partnership for the Equitable LIfe Assurance Society, internal fire protection has been provided with an aesthetic design.

FendorHansen Fineline framing system, combined with 10mm Pyrolithic glass for periods of 60 minutes integrity, forms the internal atrium for the new eightstorey building. This meets firesafety regulations when using panes sized 1,500 x 2,700mm.

Main contractor for the building was Melville Dundas.
