The Town and Country Planning Association has attacked radical planning laws to reduce red tape as a 'potential disaster'. The TCPA believes that time allowed for public inquiries will be cut if the government presses ahead with reforms. But the DTI, which announced the proposals in the statement 'Enterprise for All', insists the steps will 'reduce cost, risk and uncertainty'.
