  • Comment

Kohn Pedersen Fox & Associates has won planning permission for this 43,000m2 office and retail development in the heart of Holborn, Central London. The Mid City Place scheme (formerly known as State House), for Panasonic's property arm Matsushita Investment and Development Co, includes nine floors with full-height glazing behind an exposed structure up to the fifth floor. Daylight is also brought in via an atrium. The scheme also features almost 3000m2 of retail on the ground and basement fronting High Holborn, and basement parking for 27cars. The building is scheduled for completion in early 2001.
