Ian Liddell, a founding partner of Buro Happold Consulting Engineers and the man leading the engineering design of the Millennium Dome, has been appointed Royal Academy of Engineering visiting professor in the principles of engineering design, at the department of engineering, University of Cambridge. Liddell is a world expert in lightweight structures.
