Multi-disciplinary practice Gelder and Kitchen has appointed chartered architect John Kellet as an associate to head up its Corby office.

Oxford architect Berman Guedes Stratton, founded 21 years ago, has changed from a partnership to a company renamed BGS Architects.It has has appointed four associate directors, Marion Brereton, Bruce Cockburn, Nick Fordy and Joanna Wilkins.

Jennings Design Associates has set up in practice in Denton, Manchester, with Bill Jennings as principal architect.

John Carpenter has become a full partner of John Miller & Partners. During his 14 years with the practice he has been project architect on the Gulbenkian Hall at the Royal College of Art, the Warwick University Business School and the Tate Gallery Cafe. He is currently working on the Playfair project in Edinburgh.

Sheila Cooper is to head up PRP Architects' in-house planning consultancy.

Margaret Greenwood is the new chairman of the Association for Project Management. She is a senior lecturer in operations management at the Bristol Business School of the University of the West of England.

Malcolm Booth of Associated Architects, Birmingham will retire on 31 October. Elizabeth Hill, Warren Jukes and Adam Wardle become associates.
